Fatima Food Bank

Fatima Food Bank’s aim is to provide people of any background with necessities they need for everyday life, whether that it is a weekly food package delivered, items of clothing or even household appliances such as Furniture or a Fridge

With living costs increasing year on year and low paying jobs making it extremely challenging for families below the poverty line to prosper. As published in The Guardian cases of child malnutrition have doubled in 2020, resulting in 2500 children being admitted to hospitals suffering from malnutrition.

It is reported that almost a third of children in the UK are currently living below the poverty line. This puts immense pressure on our Food Bank which has experienced a significant rise in demand since we began distributing, reaching new families every week.

What foods are provided in your parcel?

Fresh foods and non-perishable foods.
Cultural foods.

Clothing is also available for 1 to 4 years which can be viewed and collected at Peabody Children’s Centre, Jaffe Road, Ilford.

Collection point will be told once discussed on day to collect.

If unable to collect, Fatimas Food Bank are able to drop off food parcel to an agreed address.

At Sunflower, we offer employees and customers the opportunity to volunteer at the Fatima Food Bank, helping with tasks like food sorting, distribution, or other support services.

Collaboration on Special Occasions: During holidays and special occasions, we help to organize special events and campaigns to collect and donate food to the charity, spreading the message of giving back.
